Real Families Stories

OUR WORK, THEIR JOURNEY

Just a serie to share with you where our rendez-vous with these families land us, what they brought me, the discussion we had, the journey we prepared for them and the personalized repertoire of tools & exercices we crafted for their babies and toddler.

Hope it will help you find space and peace about the way you chose to support your family.

Why is my baby not sleeping?

This mum asked me to help her the day after our 30-minute call, I was moved by her text.

“Honestly, it’s a miracle—I don’t know how else to put it. Because after I spoke to you on the phone, she slept through the whole night, which hadn’t happened since November. She’s calmer. I’m calmer.

Louise, you have magical powers!”

Our baby is sleeping well, & we want to keep it that way

They’ve found their rhythms.

Their baby sleeps peacefully, and nights are (mostly) calm.

But a little voice inside wonders…
"What happens when teething starts?"
"What about developmental leaps?"
"What if something changes?"

Now that everything has been set-up and their daughter is doing well, this family asked me to prepare them for the future.

They didn't want the cry-it-out methods or type of sleep training, but they also didn't want to wait without taking any action and hope for the best.

"A healthy 2,5  month-old sleeps  10 hours at night. Is that normal?"

That is what this mum asked, and...

She has been told that it is normal, because baby is growing well and has no health issues.

While it is, in the window of what we expect from a baby between 1-3 month, I wondered if we could find a ask-for-help between the lines.  Another and deeper question or concern behind that one. Could she be part of...

Those who struggle in the "It's normal" window:

  • The tongue tie diagnosed but still uncomfortable

  • The silent reflux, treated but still difficult

  • The latch has been observed, but yet feeds seem endless.

Part of my job is to find answers for the families that are in the "in-between".

This why I crafted the Loop Technic for them.

The Bottle Procession
or the end of their
endless bedtime battle

They called me because bedtime would take ages, and just be a fight every night, even after their well rounded routine and mum and dad have put their whole heart keeping it consistent for weeks.

So we catched-up on the Sleep Biology, but what we really worked on was on Building cooperation.

And we just loved how it turned out!

"M. sleep has improved quite a bit; he falls asleep in an incredible way, meaning that from 7:15 - 7:30 on, we actually call it "the bottle procession", because he asks himself for his bottle and invites us to go into his room with him to start the bedtime routine — that's so funny."

Baby Sleep Support
− when sleep training doesn't work

These parents were struggling to make their daughter fall asleep before midnight, she would fight and cry for hour before falling from exhaustion.

They tried everything,

They first worked on a routine to sleep, they tried to leave her to cry (and the Feber, they tried setting "good sleep associations", they tried to wait-it-out.

  • Rock her to sleep didn't worked anymore

  • Stroller outside in the evening didn't worked anymore

  • Bottle to sleep didn't worked anymore...

Much more than not wanted to cry it out or either give up, they just didn’t have any other choice anymore, they tried everything!

They were looking for something stronger than the 5s Method and different than leaving to cry.

So I crafted the LOOP TECHNIC for them.
I method that would help her settle down with something else than sleep training.
